EXPERIENCE:
My Family lives in Radbruch which is north-west Germany and about 20 minutes from Luhmuehlen.  I rode my first test at the age of 10. After a high school sabbatical, I worked on a farm for 2 years.  I picked the riding up again when I started to study at University (finished with a masters degree in science) and I also took riding more seriously (no wild gallop through the woods anymore); good horses, good lessons.

I later worked for some years in Verden/Aller, which is quite the herd of the Hannoverians and there I was among all these super, super perfect riders. That encouraged me. I made some medals (see attached) and I also always wanted to get that trainer license (we call it 'Trainer C'-low key/basic, but hard woork). I did the Trainer Test at the 'Hannoversche Reit-und Fahrschule Verden'.

I'm still a member in a German riding club and I also manage to go back to Germany at least once a year to brush up my skills. Honestly...I would love to make my silver medal (Silbernes Reitabzeichen) and/or the 'level two' trainer license.

Specialty: Jumpers

Hello, my name is Margaret Kurtz and I'm a current student at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Whether it be in teaching lessons, working in the barn, or exercising horses, I have tons of past experience. For the past two summers I was employed at a summer day camp in Airborne, NY as a riding instructor and a horse specialist. Along with 5 other girls, I worked to run a small 10-horse stable of camp ponies and teach approximately 7 half hour lessons a day, Monday thru Friday. As well, I am an experienced rider, leasing a horse with Renaissance Show Stables located in Suffern, NY. I have tons of experience on the show circuit in the upstate NY area, having competed most recently in the 3'9 jumpers. As well, I have experience riding and showing sale horses, most recently having shown an adult hunter for sale.

I have teaching experience beginning with children that have never sat on a horse and upward. I'm very passionate about riding and horsemanship, and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone who wants to learn.
