Hello, my name is Margaret Kurtz and I'm a current student at George Washington
University in Washington, DC. Whether it be in
teaching lessons, working in the barn, or exercising horses, I have tons
of past experience. For the past two summers I was employed at a summer
day camp in Airborne, NY as a riding instructor and a horse specialist.
Along with 5 other girls, I worked to run a small 10-horse stable of
camp ponies and teach approximately 7 half hour lessons a day, Monday
thru Friday. As well, I am an experienced rider, leasing a horse with
Renaissance Show Stables located in Suffern, NY. I have tons of
experience on the show circuit in the upstate NY area, having competed
most recently in the 3'9 jumpers. As well, I have experience riding and
showing sale horses, most recently having shown an adult hunter for
sale.
I have teaching experience beginning with children that have never sat
on a horse and upward. I'm very passionate about riding and
horsemanship, and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm with anyone
who wants to learn.
