The short list for WEG 2006 is decided after March 21, 22, 23 and 25 and riders compete for the eight slots available.
McLain Ward and Beezie Madden had already been chosen to represent the US at this years Games. A total of ten riders will
head to Europe with chef d'equipe George Morris; the final team will be decided in July.
Round four and five of the trials took place in Wellington, FL this weekend. Margie Engle earned her spot on the team
by claiming both the first and second spots in trials standings on her mounts Cuervo Gold and Hidden Creek's Wapino, respectively.
In third, Laura Kraut and Miss Independent also joined team ranks.
Lauren Hough finished in fourth and Candice King on Tarco movedup to fifth place. Christine Tribble McCrea on Promised
Land climbed to sixth place. All aforementioned earned team selection status and will travel to Aachen in July.
